I've spent the past decade at the intersection of risk, information, and collaboration as Executive Director of the California Resiliency Alliance (CRA), a nonprofit that curated trusted information and bridged public and private sectors to strengthen resilience across California. In the summer of 2026, after an Operational Pause to find a financially and operationally sustainable path forward came up short, CRA's board of directors made the difficult decision to wind down the organization.
As I help guide CRA through that process, I'm using this in-between time to pause, reflect, and be intentional about what comes next — rather than rushing to fill the space.
I have decided to launch out on my own with a resilience advisory — one focused on helping planners and decision-makers make sense of interconnected risk across sectors and disciplines, rather than simply reacting to the next headline or hot take. More on this endeavor in the months ahead as it takes shape.
So consider this page a placeholder. There's a real site coming: one built around long-horizon thinking, cross-sector perspective, and the kind of trust that only grows slowly — a space for the kind of thinking that helps planners, decision-makers, and curious minds see the second- and third-order effects before they arrive, rather than simply react once they do.
